Manitou Cares
A camp for everyone
Everything we do at Camp Manitou encourages our values of inclusion, appreciation and respect. Throughout the summer, campers learn the importance of empathy and the power they have to give back to the world around them.
Our Culture

Every single camper is respected for who they are and are taught to treat other campers with the same respect and appreciation. We recognize how we’re similar, celebrate what makes us different, and teach the value of both individuality and community.
Over the summer, campers can choose to help with one of over 20 outreach programs. For example, they can help serve meals at local shelters, clean up public parks, or pack care kits for developing countries. If they want, they can even continue helping with these programs over the entire year.
Our hope is to give campers a better appreciation of what life has to offer, so they can grow into healthy and happy young adults.

Community Week
During community week, every camper joins in on programs to help the community. They’ll also choose a major project, like building a school or community centre, and work on projects to raise funds.
Community week ends with the Walk of Hope. Campers gather in the main field to hear from a guest speaker, celebrate how we can all make the world a better place, and the Walk of Hope banner.
